What is the organisation's line of business?
All Clean are specialists in office cleaning, industrial cleaning including upholstery, and window cleaning. They have offices in Birmingham and Worcester.
How many employees were trained and what did they learn?
In a sector that is often perceived as attracting unskilled employees, All Clean have been offering all their staff NVQ qualifications in cleaning and support services at Level 1, with progression opportunities to Level 2. In addition, the Contract Managers have achieved Team Leading (Management) qualifications at NVQ Level 2 and most have progressed onto NVQ Level 3. Office based employees have also completed Customer Service and Business Administration NVQs.
Out of the 147 employees at All Clean, over 100 have now achieved qualifications.
As a result of their ongoing commitment, All Clean were named ‘Employer of the Year’ by METtraining.

What is the organisation's line of business?
BHSF Limited are market leaders in ‘not-for-profit’ health insurance with their history tracing back to charity, the Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund, founded in 1873 to help support Birmingham hospitals. Today, BHSF insures 400,000 people through 265,000 policies.
How many employees were trained and what did they learn?
Qualifications have been delivered in Customer Service, IT, Business Administration, Contact Centre qualifications for their call handlers, as well as Learning and Development NVQs at Levels 2, 3 and 4. Mentoring and short course programmes have also been provided.
Company – Corporate Express
What is the company's line of business?
Corporate Express is one of the world's largest business-to-business suppliers of essential office, computer products and services. The UK Head Office based in Birmingham has benefited from tailored training and development programmes delivered in-house by Sutton Coldfield College.
What sort of training have employees received?
The 13 logistics staff from Corporate Express on Tameside Drive, Holford achieved the warehousing and distribution qualification, the NVQ level 2 carry and deliver goods. The efforts of three warehouse-based staff who achieved the level 3 qualification in distribution, warehousing and storage operations have also paid off as they have been promoted to more senior roles within the organisation.
Phil Beard, Birmingham Transport Depot Manager, says: “Our staff development programme has been strengthened with the introduction of these NVQ qualifications as they enable our employees to utilise their experience to gain a professional qualification and also progress in their careers.”
Company - HydraForce Hydraulics Ltd
What is the company's line of business?
Hydraforce are an engineering company who specialise in manufacturing and repairing hydraulic valves and systems for the industrial market.
How many employees were trained and what did they learn?
Hydraforce have also been encouraging their staff to take ESOL qualifications (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and after achieving success in entry level qualifications, learners have been encouraged to progress onto more advanced levels. In addition to these learners, Team Leaders have also achieved the ILM award at Level 2 in Team Leading & Supervision (Management) qualifications.

What is the compay's line of business?
DAS are a SKY subcontractor for satellite installations and distributors of both satellite and aerial equipment to installers in the UK.
How many employees were trained and what did they learn?
Over 70% of the workforce at DAS undertook the NVQ Level 2 in Digital Signal Reception and 60% of their employees enrolled for the NVQ Level 3 Signal Distribution Systems qualification.
