Student Union

The College has an active Students Union, which organises a variety of social activities and sporting events.

As a student, you will have the opportunity to join the Student Union. The Student Union is affiliated to the National Union of Students and provides NUS cards, which offer excellent discounts on clothes, books, music, cinema tickets, travel clubs and restaurants.

Members are encouraged to represent the student body at official College meetings and contribute to key decision making.

Student Enrichment

 Why not join an enrichment activity?

The Activ8 programme is provided for all students in the college. It is intended as a break from academic study, an opportunity to participate in organised activities where you are able to meet other students. It is also useful for jobs and Higher Education references which require comments on your interests.

Our student liaison officers organise regular activities and other social, cultural and recreational events e.g. music, arts, films, competitions, weekends away.

The team works closely with both the Students’ Union and other college staff to ensure students enjoy a varied programme. They are always willing to listen to new suggestions and make additions to current activities.

You might have a special interest which is not catered for, however our team of professionals are very flexible. It may even be possible for you to organise your own event. If you want to know more, please consult your Personal Tutor or the Student Liaison officers.

Student Council

The Student Council is an important part of College life because it allows the students an opportunity to voice their opinions on their college experience. A student representative is sent from each tutor group to raise key issues. If you would like to become involved in the Student Council, please speak to your tutor or Student Liaison Officer.
