Learning Resource Centres
Library Facilities
The Library/Learning Resource Centres within the college are fundamental in supporting the independent study needs of all our students. Each main campus has a dedicated library/LRC tailored to meet the specific needs of students and staff based there. Our learner-focussed teams provide both specialist subject knowledge and help with general enquiries.
All centres have an impressive array of facilities, including thousands of textbooks and support texts, a wide range of periodicals, DVDs and electronic learning materials, covering a wide spectrum of curriculum areas.
There are comfortable seating facilities with the emphasis on quiet study; group study facilities are also available.
Computer Facilities
All main campuses have extensive computer facilities. There are dedicated areas for drop-in access and these are situated either in or near to each library/learning resource centre. Students can use the computer booking software (MyPC) to gain immediate access to a PC, or to book a session in advance.
Each student is given their own email address and open access to the computer suites where you can work quietly using leading software packages and gain quick and easy access to educational sites on the internet, supported by knowledgeable and helpful staff.
