CACHE Level 2 Certificate for the Children & Young Peoples' Workforce

Course Overview

This qualification is for all those who work or wish to work with children aged 0-19 in a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas.

Course content

The qualification is made up of a mixture core mandatory pathway units and optional units. For instance:

• Child and young person development
• Contribute to the support of the positive environments for children and young people
• Paediatric first aid
• Support children and young people’s play and leisure
• Support children and young people at meal and snack time

Entry Requirements

All students will require a clear CRB and need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement for 12 hours or more in a child care setting. All students will require a successful interview.

Delivery & Assessment methods

3.25 hours per week tuition and 12 hours per week in placement

CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce.
