Course Overview
Games animation aims to equip graduates with the skills and portfolio evidence to secure a place in industry or at university to progress to ‘top up’ degree.
Principles of digital design and animation are delivered alongside core skills such as figure drawing and stop motion animation to broaden the student creatively, whilst ensuring that technical competence with advanced professional software such as Autodesk’s Maya and Mudbox is achieved. The course is delivered by experienced tutors and industry professionals using up-to-date equipment and bespoke facilities including access to 3D printing and digital laser scanning facilities and traditional sculpting elements to course delivery.

Entry Requirements
Three A Levels at minimum grade D preferably to include Art and Design, Graphics or Media, or a BTEC National Diploma in a relevant subject with Merit profile. Other Level 3 qualifications will be considered. 180 UCAS Points. All applications will be subject to an interview and portfolio review. Mature students will be considered on an individual basis with a supporting portfolio.
Delivery & Assessment methods
Course Length: 2 years Full-time.
Progression
Course graduates can progress into employment or onto a full honours degree by completion of one or two additional top up years depending on course applied for and the students' portfolio.
