This course provides a broad based syllabus, specialising in management, but offering a variety of business subjects. The aim of the course is to provide candidates with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for employment and/or further study.

These courses allow students to obtain a nationally recognised qualification, develop business-related skills and obtain entry to higher education at degree level or professional and managerial qualifications.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or above or equivalent plus one of the following: A Levels equivalent to 160 points Advanced VCE (Vocational Certificate of Education) BTEC National Diploma. Alternative qualifications may be accepted and applications from mature students may be accepted where appropriate work experience is being undertaken.

Delivery & Assessment methods

A variety of assessment methods are used, including written reports, presentations, case studies, role-play and examinations. Course Length: 2 Years; Full Time

Progression

HND students who successfully complete the course will have an opportunity to progress to the third year of the NSC and Management Studies degree course at Birmingham City University. Students can also choose to progress to other degree programmes or professional courses. Enhancement of current job opportunities or a change of career to one within the management, marketing, finance and/or human resource management industries.
