Course Overview

A2 Accounts builds on the work covered at AS and involves developing students analytical and evaluative skills. The focus will be on developing the skills to provide accounting advice to managers so they make correct financial and management accounting decisions.

Course content

Students will study two modules which build on knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts gained in year one

  • Further aspects of financial accounting
  • Further aspects of management accounting

Delivery & Assessment methods

Assessment is by external examination. A2 examinations are 2 hours in length and students are required to answer 4 questions involving completion of numerical calculations and written analysis of results. Examinations are sat in January and June.

Entry Criteria

We set our admissions criteria to make sure everyone studying with us has the best chance of success.  To study A-Levels with us we ask that you have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades A* to C including Maths and English.
