Delivery & Assessment methods

Each unit is assessed by an external examination. AS examinations are 1.5 hours in length and students are required to answer case study questions and questions requiring an answer in extended written prose. A2 examinations are 2 hours in length and students are required to answer data response and essay questions. Examinations take place in January and June. Students must pass at AS Level to progress onto A2.

Progression

Students can finish the course after one year and achieve an AS Level in the qualification or complete two years for a full A Level. The qualification is normally studied alongside other A Levels and successful completion will help gain entry to higher education or employment.
