Course Overview

Students will explore the relationship between language and literature through a wide range of reading opportunities, including prose and poetry. They will also develop their skills as independent, confident and reflective writers. The course comprises an examination and coursework tasks.

Progression

This qualification can lead to studying English at university, and is also very useful in careers in teaching, business, management, journalism, the law and social work.

Entry Criteria

We set our admissions criteria to make sure everyone studying with us has the best chance of success.  To study A-Levels with us we ask that you have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades A* to C including Maths and English.
