Governance - Access to Meetings

CORPORATION POLICY ON ACCESS TO MEETINGS

As a publicly accountable body the Corporation is committed to openness in respect of information relating to its business and the operation of the College.

Meetings of the Corporation and its Committees are generally open meetings and persons having an interest in the affairs of the College may attend as observers.

Application should be made to the Clerk in advance of the meeting to check times and locations and so that the necessary visitor arrangements can be made.

Certain meetings or items of business may be deemed confidential in accordance with the criteria defined in the Corporation’s Policy on Access to Information. This is based on the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the provisions of the College’s prescribed Instrument and Articles of Governance. Non-Members may be excluded or asked to withdraw from the meeting in these circumstances.
