MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Welcome to the website of Birmingham Metropolitan College which was launched on 1 September 2009 as a result of the merger between Matthew Boulton and Sutton Coldfield Colleges. 

Considerable investment in our campuses has been made over the past year in order to meet the demands of a growing student population. This includes a full refurbishment of our Sutton Coldfield and James Watt Campuses, and upgrading of our Erdington Skills Centre. The Matthew Boulton Campus which won the RIBA Design Excellence and Innovation Award last year has received a number of accolades for its innovative use of learning space. 
   
Our aim is to support, guide, encourage and teach our learners to the best of our ability. We will continue to be an inspirational organisation delivering excellence by giving learners the opportunity to excel in all that they study. We are also supporting the regeneration of the local area by working in partnership with employers to help fill the regional skills gap.
 
This is an exciting time for everyone involved with Birmingham Metropolitan College. I hope that you will become one of our many successful learners and join our new intake of students who are embarking on the next phase of their studies at our new College.
